Dance is my passion. I started dancing at age nine and never stopped. I started teaching at age 18 and have taught continuously to present.
My earliest classes were in Tap and Ballet with Agnes Gleason School of Dance in Chicago. I then studied with Ideal School of Dance in Evergreen Park under Jerry Ann Soule. I studied dance in college and studied under Mary Marks in Chicago. Attending dance conventions and taking master classes with Diane Walker, Tony Waag, Margaret Morrison, Germaine Salsberg, Dr. Jeni LeGon, Dr. Harold Cromer, Lane Alexander, Tre Dumas III, Jabowen Dixon, and Star Dixon are highlights of my resumé. I continue to study with Bril Barrett as part of my continuing experience as an instructor and a performer.
I have previously taught at Hyde Park School of Dance, Ruth Page, Old Town School of Folk Music, Vero Dance Studio and S.P.A.C.E. in Chicago. I most recently taught Tap, Pre-Ballet, Kids Hip Hop and Creative Movement at Old Town School of Folk Music for 19 years. My dance group is called Rhythm of the Street which has includes members from age 8 to 88.
I have a Bachelor of Arts in General Communication from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
